 Activity 1: Working In The Shipyards
This is a sketch of Sydenham Teast's Shipyard in 1760. The modern Merchants' Wharf housing development was built on this site. Move the cursor over the image to learn more about what is happening in the picture.

Look closely at this picture of the shipyard. The picture can be used to tell us what Bristol was like in 1764. On a sheet of paper complete the two activities below:
